She was always very thoughtful and made sure to ask me what was going on in my life anytime we crossed paths over the years. She made a lasting impression on me with her genuine kindness. If more people were like her this world would be a much better place. Kathy and I had not seen Barby in many years, but our admiration for her never dimmed. From the moment I met her at Baylor she left a mark that remains as fresh today as then. I didn't get to spend much time with Barby, but what little time I did was wonderful. She always made me feel welcome when I would come by. She always looked on the brighter side of things and always told me "thank you for your help". May you feel God's comfort and grace during this difficult time. It seems like only yesterday when I first met you and Barby at Baylor - all those times in the Collins cafeteria! I just learned of her passing, and I'm shocked and saddened to know this. I'm lifting up prayers for comfort and healing to her husband, children, grandchildren, mother and sister. I know she was a blessing to so many. Her light will continue to shine through the loved ones she leaves behind. God bless all of you. My wife and I are reminded of what our Pastor Bob of Tulare First Baptist Church says, "God is great... all the time." Nancy, you have eloquently covered everything; a wonderful tribute to your sister. Your brother and sister in Christ.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
